Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is well-known for her stellar roles in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the film Piano. Actresses have an extensive history of working on Broadway, Off-Broadway and other initiatives. The actress has had a passion for acting since when she was in the high school. Her first role in a play in fifth grade was as Helen Keller. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one her ear canals, but that didn't stop the actress from fulfilling her dream. In her teens she studied drama, and then moved to New York City. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together on Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. After moving from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to land film roles. An supporting role was secured in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in several films, TV series and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
